What to draw from
Draw a random verse from the Book of Psalms and read it in its psalm. Every one of the 2,461 verses in the 150 psalms has the same chance.
About the Psalms
The Psalms are a collection of 150 songs and prayers: laments, hymns of praise, songs of thanksgiving and wisdom poems. They have been prayed and sung in synagogues and churches for many centuries, and many of them are traditionally linked with David.
Many psalms begin with a heading that names an author, an occasion or a musical direction. Here the headings are shown with the psalm but not counted as verses, as in English Bibles. German Bibles usually count them, so the same verse can be one or two numbers higher there. The context view opens the whole psalm around the verse you drew.
