Bible Verses About Prayer
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
What to draw from
Bible verses about prayer: teaching on how to pray, prayers of people in the Bible and promises about prayer. The Psalms are themselves a collection of prayers and songs, and the Gospels record the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6 and Luke 11. Draw a verse at random or read the full list below.
Verses for personal and shared prayer
Some people read a verse slowly before they pray, or write one on a card to keep nearby. Others use the words of a psalm when they have none of their own. The random psalm page draws a verse from the Psalms, which you can then read in its whole psalm. For a prayer group or a church bulletin, the card maker turns a verse into an image in several formats, with its reference.
