Joy in different situations

Many verses about joy were not written in easy times. Paul wrote Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always,” while he was in prison, and Romans 5:3–4 speaks of rejoicing in suffering. Others, such as Psalm 118:24 or Psalm 150, are songs for worship and celebration. The context view shows the setting of each verse. For a card or a message, short verses such as 1 Thessalonians 5:16 fit on one line; the length filter helps you find them.
