Friendship in the Bible
Some friendships are told as stories, such as David and Jonathan in 1 Samuel 18:1–3. Proverbs collects short sayings, for example Proverbs 17:17 on a friend who loves at all times and Proverbs 27:17 on iron sharpening iron. Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 is often read at weddings as well. In John 15:12–15, Jesus speaks to his disciples on the evening before his death. The context view shows where a saying stands. For a card or a message to a friend, the length filter helps you find short verses.
