Bible Verses About Guidance
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
What to draw from
Bible verses about guidance: asking for direction, making decisions and seeking advice. Many come from the Psalms and Proverbs, such as Psalm 119:105 and Proverbs 3:5–6, and from the letter of James. Draw one at random or browse the full list.
Verses before a decision
People often look for a verse about guidance before a move, a new job or another decision. A verse drawn here is chosen by chance and is not an answer to a particular question. Many of these verses are prayers or sayings: Proverbs 15:22 commends seeking advice, and James 1:5 speaks of asking God for wisdom. Jeremiah 29:11 is part of a letter to the exiles in Babylon; the context view shows the whole chapter. Comparing the BSB, KJV and WEB can make an older phrase easier to follow.
