Reading verses about salvation
Christian traditions understand salvation, baptism and conversion in different ways, and the same verse is read differently in different churches. This page does not interpret; it shows the text, the reference and the context. In the Old Testament, the word often means rescue from danger or enemies, as in Psalm 37:39. Acts 16:31 is the answer given to a jailer in Philippi, and the context view shows the whole story. Comparing the BSB, KJV and WEB can make older terms in the KJV easier to follow.
