Bible Verses About Faith
Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
What to draw from
Bible verses about faith and trust, from the stories of Abraham and the Psalms to the Gospels and the letters. Hebrews 11 is the best-known chapter on the subject: it opens with a description of faith and goes on to name many people from the Old Testament. Draw a verse at random or read the full list.
Faith across the Bible
The verses here take different forms: prayers, promises, teaching and stories of people who trusted and doubted. Many verses on faith come from the letters of Paul and James, which build an argument over several chapters. That makes the context view especially useful: it shows the verses around the one you drew, so you can see where a sentence begins and what it answers. You can also compare how the BSB, the KJV and the WEB put the same verse.
