Choosing a verse for a graduate

Graduation verses are often about the next step: Proverbs 3:5–6, Joshua 1:9 and Psalm 32:8 are frequently chosen. Jeremiah 29:11 is also popular; in its chapter it is part of a letter to exiles in Babylon, so the chapter is worth reading before you use it. A short verse fits best on a card or a decorated cap, while a speech can take a longer passage. The context view shows each verse with the verses around it.
